This is a good boot I am on my fourth pair since they are so excellent. I Have completed 4 rotations to Afghanistan and this is the boot I go on patrol in. It has in no way permit me down even at the worst occasions. Afghanistan has some of the most grueling terrain on this planet. I have been at -17 - 100+ degrees in the northern mountains. Warm in the winter.. Very hot in the summer time but, it is a price tag I will gladly spend for the final results and it is absolutely nothing a sock change will not repair. I have witnessed quite a few other "commercial mountaineering boots" fall apart. My only blunder was purchasing them from a person else. You just can not conquer these costs. A excellent boot for horse farm function. I'm on my ft all day in all sorts of conditions, from strolling on trails to operating in the areana, to trimming hoofs and so forth. These boots never fail me in comfort and ease, help and style. I will not put on something else. You cant put on a superior boot.

I have lived in Alaska and hunted and fished for the previous 35 many years in this huge landscape. I took these puppies sheep and moose hunting this season, and I have to say that though they were great for a though, I started to type some scorching spots going up steep mountains. I broke them in by strolling about 20 miles prior to the time and throughout which time I acquired blisters. I have great socks, and maybe it was just a undesirable pair of boots, but I wasn't all that impressed. I shot a moose and had to pack it out more than superior terrain for about 1.5 miles (120lb packs six times) and they had good stability on my ankles with all that excess weight. I've used other boots in the past and place 100's of miles up and down mountains right here, but these just don't minimize Alaskan terrain. I would say these would be wonderful for day hikes and camping, but not for the hardcore hiker hunter.

I had these boots only for 24hrs ahead of I did a tough 15miles in these boots on 2-13-10. I wore these on the Butterfield trial in NW Arkansas; we had to cross several little waterfall crossings and by way of and portion of mud. The ankle help was good when crossing the boulder field; you had to strategy just about every move you took. I did get blister from these boots only on my heels not too sure if it was from not wearing a sock liner or I just need much more time in these boots to break them in, all in I was incredibly pleased with this boots.
